Every good mechanic we know has a quality tool box to protect and store his tools on their ute, so when we saw the dog box we realised this was exactly what we had to have for our dogs, our most valuable and relied upon tool when working livestock. Our dogs are essential to the success of our business as well as being treasured companions and as they go everywhere with us, the dogbox has been the best thing we have brought in years. We now know that they are safe and comfortable and out of the elements, protected from other people and dogs and any objects sliding around on the tray. When working long days miles away from home in muddy yards in the rain, the dogs used to end up sitting wet and filthy in the front of the ute because to leave them freezing and tied on the back is not a option. They now comfortably and safely ride home without getting cold with the added bonus that the ute stays clean. It is particular handy in restraining the other dogs when we are wanting to train or work a particular dog and swapping dogs over is a easy process with just a door to open, no chains and clips to fiddle with. When the dogs are not in the box or locked on one side, it gets heaps of other uses like protecting fragile items on the back of the ute, transporting young lambs, holding shopping and groceries back from town, lockable storage for bags and gear on the back of the ute in town and has even been under discussion as a looking nice enough to kick the dogs out and sleep in ourselves.

The box is easy and light to remove when you need the whole tray, is easy to clean and looks neat, and the dogs love it as much as we do! We now have a Dog Box for both of our utes and can take the dogs with us everywhere with total piece of mind knowing they are secure and comfortable.

Originally I laughed at these boxes, and said “my dogs are fine, they don’t need shit like that, and they’re a stupid idea!” My very persistent partner, that loved them, bought me a tradesman’s box for my birthday. I wouldn’t put it on my ute, until I noticed that the dogs would go and sit in it when it was on the ground and I was doing work around the yard, so I decided to put it on and have never looked back! The dogs love it, and I feel better because I know they are safe, and protected on trips anywhere.

I loved this box, I could separate dogs with the divider, and always knew where they were. Once I came out of the house at a mates place and my 3 kelpies, and his huge dog were all in the box together, even tho the ute was parked in the sun in the middle of summer, so that tells me they must love it in there!

I have since gone back and purchased a working dog box, this one worked a lot better for me because I always have stuff on the back of the ute, and the side doors make it possible to have a full ute and still access my dogs easily if needed.

The boxes are so light and easy to move I can take it off and move around without needing anyone to help. I now am a full believer in this product and recommend it to anyone with a dog!

I have had my mans best friend dog box for about 8 months now and couldn’t be happier, as a shearer I have my dogs with me every day, and all 3 of them fit in with heaps of room! The peace of mind while driving long distances with them is priceless. Having lost a previous working dog to a fall from the Ute, this Dog Box has been the perfect piece of equipment I would recommend to everyone who owns and loves there dog!

During the day while at a job, I leave the door to the box open, and the drop side down and as soon as we have finished using the dogs they race over to the box and get in, it’s so great always knowing where they are! Even on a hot summer’s day when the Ute is parked in the sun, they prefer to be in the box, than laying in the shade somewhere, that tells me they love it too! I often take it off to cart various different things, and it is so light and easy to lift on and off by myself!

After having the box for a few months, I asked to have a window fitted to the back wall, best thing I have done, it allows me to be able to check the dogs, and see out of my rear vision window, I would recommend this feature to anyone thinking of buying a box. This product defiantly gets a tick of approval from me and my dogs! Don’t know how I went so many years without one!

The first time I came across a dog box I thought It was a joke.  I am embarrassed to admit that now. I used to leave Dixie on the back of my ute, untied rain hail or shine, she seemed to love been on the back and only looked unhappy when she was dancing in summer like a spider on a hot plate. Nothing else seemed to bother her.

After doing a bit of work with Rob Broderick and co, I ended out with a box on my ute so I could take his pampered pooches for a run when riding the horses. The same dog box, a tradesman’s box, to this day is in my possession. I found even when I left the door of the dog box open Dixie would still be in it, looking out through the mesh. No longer did she walk around the back of the ute, instead she seemed much happier to chill out and watch the world go by from the box.

If I look like I am going some where, she is straight in the box, not on the tray. Some days when I have to leave her behind, she is hard to get out of the box. She hates been left behind. She spends hours and hours in the box on long road trips and often sits in it all day while I am at work. She loves it.

It has turned out to be a rather useful tool for me. Not just to keep Dixie safe, but over the years I have carted, lambs, chickens, ducks, and even Robs cat that was found in the horse float on the way to a camp draft. Can’t say that it’s a cat’s idea of comfort and luxury, he was not amused!

No more looking out the mirror to see if the dogs still on the ute, or into anything on the ute. No more concerns about the dog getting muddy, smelly or
wet. (it’s also very easy to clean) no more – where are we going to keep the
dog when we go to friends or the shops.  Dixie is always safe inside her box no matter what is happening.

I love my dog box, I would never be without one now. Worth every cent I payed
for it, my dog box has payed for its self time and time again.  I am one very happy customer!

I have had my box for about a year now, and couldn’t be happier! I had been looking around for years to find anyone who made something but couldn’t, until one day I saw one on a friends ute, I enquired and have never looked back! I have a deluxe, they are perfect for me because I keep all my dog equipment in the box on top, and am able to separate dogs when they are on heat.

It is such peace of mind that I can take them with me anywhere and they will be safe. It’s also so great to be able to lock up some tools or other things in one side while also having a dog in the other side.

I know my dogs love it too, whenever I am doing something I always come back to find them chilling out in the box, it’s great because I always know where they will be when I’m not working with them. It’s there kennel away from home!
